Falcata Casa Gran wine reminds of the good guy that I just can’t seem to fall in love with. Fathers like this wine—a sturdy blend of Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah and Monastrell grapes. Mothers like this wine—rich on the nose with aromas of warm prunes, anise and chocolate covered cherries. My friends love this wine—seductive mouthfeel and sweet maraschino cherries, bread pudding, raisins black tea and pepper on the palate. This Spanish hunk seems to have it all. What’s wrong with me? I sat with it, went back for seconds, thirds…waited for it to open up, just talk to me, show me something more. Crickets. Indiscernible soul. This wine is styled to perfection. So “Rent The Runway” – all Armani suit and manicure. This is a good wine. What’s wrong with me? I need a little grit in my wine, some earthy funk, a little indecency, a tool belt over the Armani suit, you know some street cred. Falcata Casa Gran sounds like your type?
