Brown Liquor: The Cognac Connection

Consumers have clear (or cloudy) memories around a category of spirit (liquor) that endear them, swear them off, or limit their uses. Circa 1998 in my twenties a woman my age stated, “I don’t drink brown liquor.” Maturing, self-awareness, and exposure brought me back to gin, tequila and opened me up to search more spirits. After all it was not the spirit that was the issue. Today, my grown-up exploration brings me to back cognac.

Now that we can not travel, I am looking back at some of my favorite trips of 2019. This is part three of a five part summer vacation in 2019 where I traveled various parts of Italy and France. I have had a fantasy of visiting the Amalfi Coast since the first time I saw a postcard perfect photo that took my breath away. The opportunity presented it's selt in 2019, and the story goes something like this.
